13.10.24 MUSIC & BOOK Fair @ Castle Eden Village Hall

This is inside & outside a modern Community centre.
14 Indoor stalls, 5 outdoor garden plots.

VIBE: 
New & Used Music, Books, collectables and ephemera, Sunday 13th October, trading 10-2pm.   Open to business and general public.  Local authors promoting their books are welcome.  Currently PIP FALLOW is there selling copies of his book DRAGGED UP PROPPA and will be talking about it between 12pm-1pm to a seated/stood audience.

  • TIMES:    Open to buyers 10am to 2pm

  • Trading:  must be set up ready for opening and not pack up before 2pm

  • Set up/pack up:  Hall will be open from 8.30am - 2.30pm on the day

  • Insurance Requirements: Not required inside traders (oUTSIDE TRADERS WILL REQUIRE pli FOR THEIR SET UP, GAZEBO, ETC.)

  • Open to:  Small Business, book authors & Public

  • VENUE/AREA:    Castle Eden Village Hall is a large modern community hall, with lots of good light, vaulted ceiling,  Disabled access/loos. Castle Eden is quite a prestigious area and lots of high profile sportsmen live in the village.  The hall is opposte the Castle Eden Inn which was originally the old brewery’s Flag Ship pub,  its still very popular, does food.

    AUTHORS:  Set up will be a seated area in the centre of the room for audience to sit/stand whilst an author chats about their book.  Each author gets a table in the centre to house their books and obv sell/sign from.

    GENERAL SELLERS  Placed around the walls of the hall. 


PITCH/PLOT  - INDOOR & OUTDOOR FOR THIS EVENT
  • INDOOR £10 plot 8ft x 5ft, Include one table & chair(s). Although plots against a wall have average 1ft between them but you must allow access to your own, on your own plot.  pathways are generally 4ft wide all the way round.
  • OUTDOOR £10, per plot/date.  13ft square plot to erect your own gazebo on the grass to the front of the hall, within the markers given.  Fill it how you like. NO TABLES ARE PROVIDED FOR OUTSIDE SPOTS, ou will need your entire set up, it is space only.
  • TABLES & CHAIRS (INSIDE ONLY): one table is allocated per plot.  Table is approx 6ft long x 2.5ft (1.75m x 0.75m),  if you'd like to bring additional table/shelving that's ok BUT only as long it it does not encroach on other plots, pathways or block exits. If you need advice, just ask.

  • ELECTRIC:  Some plots have electric points, the ones in the centre do not.  If you require elec, please state at time of booking as these are limited..

  • Wifi:  No facility currently at the venue, done many events there and I am not aware of any phone signal issues to use mobile data for card payments.  Personally I use a vodafone MiFi device and signal is excellent. (If you experience issues with your own provider you may be able to piggy back my device).

  • RUBBISH: Please take your rubbish home with you.

  • LOADING UNLOADING You can access the hall via their fire exit straight from the car park or up the ramp into the main doors.

  • MOVING YOUR VEHICLE  As space is limited in the Hall car park, we have use of the car park at the masonic park RIGHT NEXT DOOR and PRIOR TO 10am, we would request you move your vehicle into there, you can of course bring your vehicle back after 2 to re-load.  SIMPLY to maximise visitor access to the hall.  Your compliance appreciated. 

  • On the day SUPPORT:  I’m selling there too, I'll be first in, last out.

  • Refreshments W.I. Ladies or Brownies will be serving teas/coffees & cake in a mini pop up cafe in site.  It’s a great way to keep people in and they go round again….
